Welcome to my studio
I now offer a website design service as an extension of my art practise which centres on Photography, Writing and Illustration.
I use Squarespace as part of this service. Squarespace is website building and hosting company. My relationship with Squarespace started in 2019/2020 when I looked for a good place to do it myself. I selected Squarespace for
its design/aesthetic orientation,
being reasonably priced for an annual membership,
being easy to learn and user friendly.
I’ve been using Squarespace since, still for the same reasons. I am an Squarespace Circle member. Circle is a free programme to support creative professionals who help others build websites.
My service is ideal for
The self-employed, the sole practitioners and the small businesses. The one person bands!! I see you!
I’ll save you time and headspace by helping you with a website. A website that is easy for you to manage on your own afterwards. Or help you with keeping your website up to date and relevant. My help can either be a once-off or you can be supported by having an on-going relationship.

For new websites, using Squarespace.
The service include:
5 Pages. Typically: Home, About, Service or Product, Contact and Blog.
Assistance with Text/Copywriting. Up to 3 Paragraphs/600 words per page. Written by me based on our conversations; not AI generated. If required; you may also provide your own.
Assistance with Photography. Up to 12 Images. Photography by me relevant to your personality, story and service/product; not stock images or AI generated. If required; you may also provide your own.
3 In-Person Meetings. Up to 2 hours each.
Squarespace Training. 1:1 during meetings.
Basic Search Engine Optimisation – SEO – and Training.
Mobile Optimisation

You can expect the process to take approximately 4 to 8 weeks. Completion within this timeframe depends on your provision of information and source material plus your response time to questions and proposals; our availability for meetings and life happening.
The focus of our first meeting will be for me to get to know you and your offering. It will be helpful if you come prepared with examples of similar offerings, websites and reference material that you like. The second meeting will focus on making amendments to a first draft of your website. The third meeting will focus on showing you how your website has been set up and how you can continue with it, by adding information and making changes.
Be prepared that the process will require your time too. I invite you to come with both a collaborative attitude and trust; let me do my best for you.

Package #2 - Renovation/Extension
For existing websites. Ideal for Squarespace. For other host sites I can mainly help with content creation.
The service include:
Design and Navigation review & refresh.
Content Update: Content creation. Typically Photography and Text/Copywriting. Potentially Illustration, Graphic Design, Video.
Content Update: Content incorporation. By you or by other professionals.
Brainstorming Content. What to post? Where? Website, blog, social media, marketing, newsletters. When? Looking at an achievable schedule for the upcoming months.
Basic Search Engine Optimisation - SEO - and Training.
Mobile Optimisation
Squarespace Training *optional.
Price
The price can depend on the scope of what you need and how much of my time is required. Or it can depend on your budget and what I can do for you within that. We will agree a scope of work at a set price before starting work. Any additional work will be charged at a day/hourly rate.
Process
We will have discussed timeframe as part of the quotation especially if you have specific time or deadline in mind. Or I would have told you how long I think it will take based on the scope of work. Timeframe of course always depends on many things, on you on me and on things neither of us know about or have any control over.
Certainly we will have meetings. Multiple meetings. Meetings for an in depth understanding of what you require. Meetings to discuss drafts. Meetings to refine/fine tune/polish/hone. Meetings to close out and celebrate!
