New Build Websites

For new businesses and new websites.

I design websites. Using my own photography, writing, illustration and graphic design.

Most people outsource those things separately. I don't, because I find the coherence of one sensibility doing all of it produces something different — a website where the visual and the verbal come from the same place.

I work with Squarespace, which I've used and trusted since 2019.

Who I work with

I work best with the self-employed, the sole practitioner, the one-person band.

More specifically:

• Artisans, Makers, Craftspeople — people passionate about skills and materials.

• Creatives: Artists, Architects, Interior Designers, Writers, Poets.

• Natural Healers, Doulas, Guides, Shamans — working with nature, movement, breath, body, plants, rituals, dreams, animals, angels & ancestors.

• Therapists, Psychotherapists, Coaches, Counsellors.

• Independent Shop Owners — especially purveyors of art, design, books, homeware.

• FOODIES. Café and Restaurant Owners, Caterers, Growers — local, seasonal, slow.

What it includes

Everything is written and photographed by me.

All text is written from our conversations. Your words, your personality, your offer — given shape by me.

The service includes:

• 5 pages — typically Home, About, Services or Products, Blog and Contact.

• Text and copywriting. Up to 600 words per page.

• Photography. Up to 60 images, made for your specific business and personality.

• 3 in-person meetings, up to 2 hours each, including Squarespace training.

• Social media links, basic SEO and mobile optimisation.

Logo design is not included.

Price: £1,500 (introductory offer, full price £2,600)

Process

The process typically takes four to twelve weeks — this depends on both of us, and on life.

• Meeting one — I get to know you and your offering. Come with websites, references, examples of things you like.

• Meeting two — amendments to a first draft.

• Meeting three — a walkthrough of the finished site and how to manage it yourself going forward.

Payment

50% to begin. 50% on launch.

This work takes time and carries the cost of a skilled practice. If you're looking primarily for the cheapest option, we're probably not a good fit.
